Recognized for his non-linear storytelling usually exploring existential themes about identity and the nature of time with disturbed and morally ambiguous characters . Nolan seems to be partial to natural settings and documentary-style lighting. He is considered one of the best filmmakers working today and has being nominated for Best Director once at the Academy Awards.
