Nolan continues building up the story of Batman who, after an anarchist known as the Joker wreaks chaos into Gotham , faces his greatest psychological and physical test yet where the line between heroism and vigilantism gets blurred.
Nolan takes the Batman story to a neo-noir level with a complex and intriguing storyline, bleak , gothic cinematography, fast action pieces and an interesting performance by Heath Ledger. It may feel too dark and confusing at times for a story associated to an established beloved character
