Comedy-Drama War Political Satire Film

Chaplin follows a Jewish barber who, after years of recovering of war wounds , returns home to witness the anti-semitic policies of a look-alike fascist dictator and recklessly joins a pretty girl and her neighbors in rebelling.
Chaplin first talkie is a bold piece of satirical storytelling aimed against Hitler using his traditional slapstick comedy to make a statement. It was nominated for 5 Academy Awards.
