Romance Comedy Film

Billy Wilder follows the story of two male hack musicians who, after witnessing a mob hit, flee the state joining an all-female jazz band disguised in drag where they further pretend to be other than themselves to attain love or stability.
Wilder delivers a timeless comedy with a well structured storyline and enough dramatic stakes to make it engaging but still addressing racy witty themes like gender bender aided by memorable performances including acclaimed Marilyn Monroe’s and the onscreen chemistry between Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon.
It won 1 Academy Award and was nominated for another 5.
