Rio Grande

John Ford follows the story of a Calvary officer posted North of the Rio Grande who after his son joins as a new recruit and his estranged wife shows up to prevent it, the conflict with the apaches intensify forcing him to cross into Mexico and face them involving his family in the showdown. John Ford creates another classic Western capitalizing on John Wayne’s performance in a way that may seem formulaic but still eloquent and entertaining.
