Italian-French Semi-Autobiographical Comedy-Drama film

Fellini draws comparisons between the Old Rome and the new by showing himself as a young man leaving his small town and moving to Rome contrasting it with his older self coming back to Rome to make a movie about it.
Fellini creates a radically stylized pseudo-documentary as a rambling essay where the real protagonist is Rome and where fantasy and reality are confused but it may be somewhat difficult to watch for a traditional audience
