Taika Waititi

Initially known for small, silly but endearingly big-hearted films until contacted to direct the hugely successful and wildly acclaimed Marvel film adaptation Thor: Ragnarok in which he freely mixed broad comedy and superhero action reviving waning interest in the Thor franchise.
He won 1 Academy Award as a screenwriter and 2 of his films have been nominated for best Awards.
One of his films made it to our All-Time Best Films list.
