Steven Spielberg

Spielberg is the most commercially successful director in history and is considered a cinematic chamaleon filmmaker that changed his style depending on the circumstances around. He has explored themes related to fractured families with emphasis on childhood , middle class values struggling to survive or the supernatural among the normal, but in a career of more than four decades, Spielberg's films have covered many other themes and genres. Technically he uses complicated camera movements and angles, being partial to long shots and usually ahead of the technological trend . His ability to speak to viewers of all ages and demographics and the great stories that he tells have made his works among the highest-grossing films ever, with 11 of them making it to our All-Time Best Films list. He has been nominated for Best Director seven times at the Academy Awards winning twice.
