Michael Moore

Moore is considered influential in the documentary genre by using a hybrid film making strategy fusing different documentary modes, most commonly the expository and the interactive incorporating a narrative so that the film flows as if it were a fiction film and using ‘comedic tone’ which helps the audience to engage with the material.
Moore usually addresses in his films major controversial political and social issues from a left-wing point of view.
He won 2 Academy Awards for Best Documentary.
