James Gunn

Initially known for scriptwriting entertaining high box-office films , his sense of humor and interest in superhero stories landed him the opportunity to direct the Marvel film adaptation Guardians of the Galaxy, incorporating reverential but tongue-in-cheek take on comic book space operas.
One of his films made it to our All-Time Best Films list.
