Trainspotting

Director Danny Boyle follows a heroin addict in a depressed area of Edinburgh who tries to clean up and get out, despite the allure of the drugs and influence of friends who follow him even after he moves to London. Boyle creates a hard-hitting, darkly funny, terrifying portrayal of drug addiction in England that has the power to shock, terrify, disgust and make audiences laugh.
