Lolita

Kubrick follows the story of an European middle aged professor who relocates to an American suburb and becomes obsessed with a teenage nymphet and decides to pursue his infatuation after her mother’s death without thinking of consequences.
Kubrick’s sanitized adaptation of a controversial novel about pedophilia still could be uncomfortable at times but portrays an interesting study about the madness of otherwise normal people against the backdrop of post-war middle America.
