Lawrence of Arabia

David Lean showcases the story of T. E. Lawrence, an english officer who united and led diverse Arab tribes during World War I to fight the Turks. The film explores Lawrence’s struggles with war violence, his own identity and his allegiances using the vast desert as a backdrop detailed with beautiful cinematography. For all its praise there is to note that contemporary audiences may find it a little long ,somewhat tedious and culturally prejudiced.
