Epic Historical Crime Drama
A young Irish immigrant returns to the Five Points area of New York seeking revenge for the murdering of his father by infiltrating the killer’s gang in a journey for personal survival and that of the Irish people of the 1860’s New York.
Scorsese’s grim view of New York is interesting but it is basically a long brawl with notable production design and good performances
