Dystopian Crime Drama Sci-fi Cult film

Kubrick follows a sadistic gang leader in a futuristic U.K., who, after being imprisoned convicted of rape and homicide, volunteers for an experimental rehabilitation program in which he is ‘reprogrammed’ to condemn violence in exchange for a commuted sentence; once out, however, he has to deal with his own legacy of violence and depravity.
Kubrick’s direction creates a surreal atmosphere resulting in a disturbing but imaginative film where the discussion about violence keeps it relevant after the years.
