2001: A Space Odyssey

Kubrick explores the possibility of extraterrestrial life . After finding an artifact in the lunar surface mankind sets on a quest to Jupiter to find out its origins with help of advanced computer HAL, who suddenly becomes unpredictable setting a race against the machine for the secrets of the universe.
Kubrick’s creates almost an abstract film where the storytelling may be hard to follow but where the images, music, settings and shots shape a profound existential statement on humanity.
