Spider-Man

Director Sam Reimi follows the story of a shy nerdy student who, after being bitten by a genetically-altered spider, gains spider-like abilities and strength making him feel responsible to protect his family and the city from evil crime. Reimi adapts Stan Lee’s comic book into an entertaining action-packed blockbuster that captures the human scale of the broken heart and tortured soul of the young man at its center.
It was nominated for 2 Academy Awards.
