Adam’s Rib

Director George Cukor follows a married couple of attorneys who find themselves working on opposite sides of a lawsuit where a woman has shot her cheating husband creating domestic and professional tensions between them. Cukor delivers an entertaining comedy helped by the performance chemistry between Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy but sometimes it feels a little dated and almost like a sitcom .
It was nominated for 1 Academy Award.
