28 Days Later

Director Danny Boyle follows a bike courier who wakes up from a coma to find a deadly virus transforming humans into bloodthirsty, rage-filled zombies and taking over the UK which forces him to join a small group of survivors in a race for their lives. Boyle creates an innovative and disturbing horror thriller with well developed characters in a study of survival that also works as a political allegory.
